PM Modi to Empower Women in Jalgaon, Attend Rajasthan High Court Jubilee

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-city tour on August 25th, focusing on empowering women and celebrating a judicial milestone.

In the morning, he will travel to Jalgaon, Maharashtra, to participate in the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan. This event marks a significant step in the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, a government initiative aimed at empowering women through Self Help Groups (SHGs). At the Sammelan, Prime Minister Modi will distribute certificates to 11 lakh new Lakhpati Didis, women who have achieved financial independence through the program. He will also launch a Revolving Fund of ₹ 2,500 crore, providing financial support to approximately 48 lakh members of 4.3 lakh SHGs. Since its inception, the Lakhpati Didi Yojana has empowered one crore women, and the government aims to reach three crore women with this program.

Later in the evening, PM Modi will head to Jodhpur, Rajasthan, where he will serve as the Chief Guest at the concluding ceremony of the Rajasthan High Court’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The event, held on the High Court’s campus, will include the inauguration of the Rajasthan High Court Museum. This museum is expected to be a valuable resource, showcasing the history and evolution of the Rajasthan judiciary.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit highlights the government’s commitment to women empowerment and the judiciary’s significant role in upholding justice and the rule of law in India.
