PM Modi’s Gujarat Rally: Attacks Congress on Terrorism, Reservation

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress party during a rally in Gujarat’s Himatnagar city. He accused the Congress of sending dossiers on terrorists to Pakistan during its tenure, rather than taking decisive action. Contrasting his government’s approach, PM Modi declared that India no longer sends dossiers to terrorist havens but instead delivers a lethal response on their own soil.

Additionally, PM Modi vehemently challenged the Congress to publicly declare that it will not provide reservations based on religion. He alleged that the Congress intended to divert reservations meant for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) to Muslims.

PM Modi’s visit to Gujarat is part of a two-day campaign to rally support for BJP candidates ahead of the May 7 polling. He addressed rallies in Deesa and Himmatnagar on Wednesday, and is scheduled to address four more rallies in Anand, Surendranagar, Junagadh, and Jamnagar districts on Thursday. Gujarat holds 26 Lok Sabha seats, but polling will take place on only 25 as the BJP candidate in Surat has been elected unopposed.
