PM Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Radio Broadcast Returns After Election Break

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio broadcast, ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ is set to return on Sunday, June 30th, after a break due to the Lok Sabha elections. ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is a program where Prime Minister Modi connects with citizens of India, discussing significant national issues. It is broadcast on the last Sunday of each month. The broadcast was last aired on February 25th and was paused in anticipation of the elections.

On June 18th, PM Modi announced the resumption of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on June 30th, inviting listeners to share their ideas and inputs for the program. He encouraged participation through the MyGov Open Forum, NaMo App, or by recording messages on 1800 11 7800.

“Delighted to share that after a gap of some months due to the elections, #MannKiBaat is back! This month’s programme will take place on Sunday, 30th June. I call upon all of you to share your ideas and inputs for the same. Write on the MyGov Open Forum, NaMo App or record your message on 1800 11 7800,” PM Modi shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Launched in October 2014, ‘Mann Ki Baat’ aims to engage with various segments of Indian society, including women, the elderly, and the youth. The broadcast is available in 22 Indian languages and 29 dialects, as well as 11 foreign languages such as French, Chinese, and Arabic. It reaches audiences through over 500 broadcast centers of All India Radio.

‘Mann Ki Baat’ has become a popular platform for Prime Minister Modi to connect with the Indian public, discuss important topics, and highlight the achievements of ordinary citizens. A study evaluating the program’s impact revealed that over 100 crore people have tuned in at least once. The program directly connects with listeners, celebrates grassroots-level changemakers and achievements, and inspires individuals to undertake positive actions in their communities.
