Pocamarket Recognized as Special Tourism Support Site for K-POP Fans in South Korea

Pocamarket, a platform dedicated to K-POP merchandise, has received a significant boost in its efforts to promote K-POP tourism in South Korea. The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), a government organization, has officially recognized Pocamarket as a special tourism support site. This designation highlights Pocamarket’s commitment to enriching the experiences of international tourists who are passionate about K-POP content, while simultaneously fostering growth and collaboration among South Korea’s content startups.

The recognition comes at a time of unprecedented global interest in K-POP. In 2023, South Korea welcomed approximately 2 million fans from around the world, eager to immerse themselves in the vibrant K-POP culture. Earlier this year, Pocamarket hosted a successful offline pop-up event showcasing K-POP photocards, attracting a large number of foreign visitors and concluding on a positive note.

This recognition from KOCCA is a testament to Pocamarket’s dedication to providing authentic K-POP experiences for international fans. A representative from Pocamarket stated, “Being selected by KOCCA as a representative K-POP tourism spot for South Korea, we will strive to provide a variety of content and experiences for K-POP fans visiting the country.”

To further enhance its tourism offerings, Pocamarket is launching POCA SPOT, a new venture that will open its doors to the public in Hongdae, Seoul, starting this July. POCA SPOT promises to be a hub for K-POP enthusiasts, offering a unique blend of merchandise, interactive experiences, and opportunities to connect with fellow fans. With its new designation and upcoming venture, Pocamarket is poised to play a key role in shaping the future of K-POP tourism in South Korea.
