Policeman Dragged on Car Bonnet in Karnataka: Driver Arrested After High-Speed Escape

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when the officer attempted to stop a car for a routine check. However, the driver, identified as Mithun Jagdale, a cable operator, accelerated the vehicle at high speed, forcing the officer to cling to the bonnet to avoid being crushed.

The incident took place around 2 pm in front of Sahyadri College in Shivamogga city. According to the Shivamogga Superintendent of Police, the officer was conducting routine checks when he signaled a car coming from Bhadravati to stop. The driver, instead of complying, sped up towards the officer, putting his life in grave danger.

Thankfully, the officer managed to escape serious injury despite being dragged for a considerable distance. The driver, Mithun Jagdale, eventually fled the scene. However, police swiftly launched an investigation and apprehended the accused.
