Popular Bread Recalled Due to Peanut Allergy Risk

BFree Foods has issued a recall for its popular Sunflower & Pumpkin Seed Loaf, sold in major supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Ocado. The recall is due to a potential health risk for individuals with peanut allergies, as the product may contain peanuts, which are not listed on the label.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has confirmed the potential risk, stating that the product poses a possible health hazard to anyone with a peanut allergy. BFree Foods has urged consumers to not consume the loaf if they have a peanut allergy and to return the product to the retailer for a full refund. They have also requested retailers to dispose of any affected product.

The FSA has advised consumers with peanut allergies who have purchased the BFree Sunflower & Pumpkin Seed Loaf to return it for a full refund. Consumers can contact BFree Customer Service for further information on 07494 026692 or via email at Quality@bfreefoods.com.

The recalled product is the BFree Sunflower & Pumpkin Seed Loaf with a pack size of 350g. The recall affects all batch codes and best before dates up to and including December 4, 2024.

This is not the first recall in recent weeks. Aldi recently recalled Ashfields Grill Four Garlic and Herb Chicken Kebabs due to a labelling error with an incorrect use-by date. WHSmith also recalled its popular ‘THIS! Chicken and Bacon Wrap’ as a precaution due to potential E. coli contamination.

It is important for consumers to remain vigilant and check for product recalls to ensure the safety of their food.
