Prada unveiled its Spring-Summer 2025 collection in Milan, setting the stage with a minimalist backdrop of turquoise-covered benches. As always, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons presented a fresh and innovative vision for the season. The collection exuded a futuristic vibe, with Space Age-inspired eyewear and ultra-slim silhouettes. Thick tights worn without pants or skirts added a unique twist, while a rock-inspired soundtrack featuring “Rocket USA” by Suicide and snippets from Cibo Matto underscored the collection’s edgy spirit.
This season, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons didn’t just reinterpret the Gen Z favorite, cowboy boots, they also revisited several iconic Prada shoe styles. The collection featured flat leather sandals from the Spring-Summer 1996 nerd-chic collection, striped heels with architectural details from the Fall-Winter 2008-2009 collection, platform oxfords from the Spring-Summer 2011 collection, and super-high Mary Janes with reinforced rubber protection from the Fall-Winter 2012-2013 collection. This isn’t the first time the designers have referenced historical pieces from the house. Recall the Spring-Summer 2021 collection, which paid homage to the geometric print from the Spring-Summer 1996 collection.
The Prada Spring-Summer 2025 collection is a testament to the brand’s ability to seamlessly blend classic and contemporary elements, creating a timeless yet forward-thinking vision of fashion.
