Pre-Monsoon Showers in Mumbai and Pune Bring Relief and Waterlogging

Amid the scorching heat, Mumbai and Pune have already received their first pre-monsoon showers, bringing some respite to their residents. These pre-monsoon showers, however, also led to waterlogging and power outages in several areas. While some residents complained about the inconvenience of waterlogged roads, others found enjoyment and made the best out of the situation.

A similar incident occurred in Pune, where a man could be seen surfing through the rainwater, relishing the weather to the fullest. The amusing video was shared by a Pune-based Twitter user, Urmi, who captured the man effortlessly surfing in the rainwater while cars struggled to navigate the waterlogged road. The video surprised onlookers and left them chuckling.

The video was captioned, “Pune people got no chill? Naah, they got all the chul. #PuneRains” Since its upload on June 7, it has garnered 51.7K views and sparked numerous funny comments from netizens.

One user remarked, “Pune becomes more eco-friendly in rains (sic)”
Another quipped, “Aladdin of Pune on his magic carpet.. (sic)”
One user jokingly threatened, “Isne pucha bhi nahi, warna jyada Pani jaga hai waha ka pata batati isko….(sic)”

Someone else commented, “I can bet this boy has an assignment due tomorrow.”
“If a truck or bus passes by, you can surf as well (sic)”, suggested another netizen.

Another user commented humorously, “Hahahahah. Mere idhar ke Jan bol raha hai ke khali plot ko swimming pool bana do.”

A netizen rightly pointed out, “pani me to aur porsche ke break nhi lagenge”

Despite the inconvenience caused by the pre-monsoon showers, the video of the man surfing through the rainwater in Pune serves as a reminder to find joy in unexpected places, even amidst the challenges brought by nature.
