The news comes from 20th Century Studios president Steve Asbell, who confirmed the upcoming Predator projects in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Asbell explained that after the success of ‘Prey,’ Trachtenberg was eager to continue exploring the Predator universe, leading to the creation of these two exciting new movies.
While the details surrounding the secret Predator film remain a closely guarded secret, the anticipation for ‘Predator: Badlands’ is already building. With Fanning leading the cast and Trachtenberg at the helm, the film promises a thrilling and action-packed experience for fans of the franchise.
And the good news doesn’t stop there! The Alien franchise is also gearing up for its next chapter, with a sequel to ‘Alien: Romulus’ currently in development. Asbell confirmed that they are working on a sequel and believe it will come to fruition once they finalize a deal with director Fede Alvarez.
Alvarez has already pitched a compelling concept for the sequel, and Asbell is particularly excited about the potential for exploring the journeys of the film’s two survivors, Rain and Andy, played by Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson. Asbell stated, “He [Alvarez] has an idea that we’re working on… We know there’s going to be aliens. We know there’s going to be great horror set pieces. But I fell in love with both of them and I want to see what their story is.”
