Pregnant Woman Forced to Clean Blood of Deceased Husband in Madhya Pradesh Hospital: Outrage Erupts

A shocking incident of alleged inhuman treatment has come to light from the tribal-dominated Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh. A five-month pregnant woman was reportedly forced to clean the blood of her deceased husband from the hospital bed where he had died. This disturbing incident has sparked widespread outrage after a video surfaced on social media, capturing the woman cleaning the blood-stained bed while a hospital staff member instructs her to ensure the entire bed is cleaned. The woman can be seen holding a blood-stained cloth in one hand while cleaning the bed using tissues in the other.

The incident took place at the Gadasarai Health Centre in Dindori district. According to reports, the woman’s husband, Shivraj Maravi, was shot dead along with his father and brother on Thursday night during a land dispute. The victims were involved in a long-standing feud with relatives over a plot of agricultural land. The incident resulted in the deaths of 65-year-old Dharam Singh Maravi, Shivraj Maravi (40), and Raghuraj (28). Shivraj’s third brother, Ramraj, was injured in the attack and is currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital.

While the hospital authorities have defended their actions, claiming the pregnant woman herself requested to clean the bed to collect evidence of the extent of the bleeding, the viral video has raised serious concerns about the treatment of patients and their families in the hospital. The video, which shows the woman cleaning the bed despite her pregnant state, has triggered a wave of condemnation and calls for an investigation into the incident.

Police have detained four suspects in connection with the shooting incident. The Dindori Superintendent of Police, Vahani Singh, has stated that they suspect the involvement of at least seven individuals in the killings. The authorities are currently investigating the case to bring the perpetrators to justice.

This incident has brought to light the urgent need for better patient care and sensitivity towards vulnerable individuals, particularly in hospitals. It highlights the importance of providing adequate support to grieving families during difficult times and ensuring that patients receive dignified and respectful treatment, regardless of their circumstances. The authorities must take swift and decisive action to ensure such incidents are not repeated in the future.
