During her address at the 21st convocation ceremony of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in Pune on Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu underscored the critical role of research in the Indian education system. President Murmu emphasized that the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 provides a strong foundation for fostering research. She highlighted the immense talent and capabilities of the Indian youth and urged them to leverage their knowledge to address societal needs, particularly those of marginalized communities, while prioritizing sustainability.
In her speech, President Murmu acknowledged the supportive role of government initiatives like Start-Up India, Skill India, and Stand-Up India, which empower young individuals to pursue their aspirations.
