Primark, known for its affordable fashion, is causing a stir in the fragrance world with its new range of budget-friendly perfumes. Shoppers are raving about these scents, claiming they smell just like their more expensive designer counterparts.
Instagram user Debbie, @beauty_glow_girl, who has a following of 178k beauty enthusiasts, highlighted these new fragrances in a viral video. She compared Primark’s perfumes to popular scents from brands like Sol de Janeiro, Carolina Herrera, YSL, Tom Ford, Jimmy Choo, and Mugler.
Primark’s Hawaii Paradise, priced at £3.50, is said to be a budget-friendly alternative to Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 40 Bom Dia Bright, which retails for £24. Similarly, Primark’s Good Chica perfume, priced at £6, has been compared to the £65 Carolina Herrera Good Girl fragrance.
Debbie also mentioned that Primark’s Free perfume, priced at £6, is a dupe for YSL’s Libre, which costs £97. Primark’s Citron Aqua, now priced at £3, has been likened to Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino, a fragrance that sells for a whopping £220.
The affordable alternatives don’t stop there. Primark’s True Destiny, priced at £6, is supposedly identical to Jimmy Choo’s Blossom, which retails for £76. Lastly, Primark’s Lilac Haze, also priced at £6, is claimed to be similar to Mugler’s Lilac Haze, selling for £67.
The post quickly went viral, amassing 12.8k likes and comments from eager shoppers. Many have already sampled the scents and are thrilled with the results. One excited shopper exclaimed, “Running to Primark,” while another added, “I’ll be grabbing the Tom Ford dupe too, thanks for the heads up!”
Several shoppers praised the Lilac Haze scent, with one commenting, “Lilac Haze is gorgeous,” and another adding, “True Destiny smells like heaven I have it.” One satisfied customer who had already purchased a bottle of the Free fragrance shared, “I keep a little bottle of the Free one in my work bag in case I forget to put perfume on and always get asked what it is when I wear it, lasts a while too!”
In response to a query about Good Chica, someone claimed, “It’s an exact dupe.”
Primark’s affordable perfumes are just the latest example of the retailer’s ability to offer stylish and trendy products at budget-friendly prices. With shoppers eager to try these “designer dupes,” it seems like Primark has another winner on its hands.
