Prince Harry and Meghan Hint at Future Ties to UK with Key Hire

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have given a strong indication of their future ties with the UK by hiring UK-based PR expert Charlie Gipson as their communications executive. This move suggests that the pair have no intention of cutting all ties with Britain, despite stepping back from royal duties four years ago.

Mr. Gipson’s appointment as Director of Communications indicates that Harry and Meghan are keen to continue and strengthen their relationship with the British public. He will be the primary contact for media inquiries in the UK.

The Sussexes have also expanded their team with the addition of Kyle Boulia as Deputy Press Secretary and Director of Communications for US media, Miranda Barbot as VP of programs and media operations, and Ashley Hansen, who will continue to oversee communications for the couple’s Archewell Foundation.

This new connection to the UK follows Prince Harry’s admission that the UK is never far from his mind. Speaking on Good Morning America, he said: “My family and my life in California is as it is. I have got other trips planned. That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”

The Duke of Sussex will return to the UK on May 8th to mark the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games in London. He has been listed as a guest at a special ceremony planned at St Paul’s Cathedral, while Meghan’s attendance remains uncertain.

Although Meghan’s name is also on the guest list, it is marked with ‘TBC’ (to be confirmed). There is speculation that the couple may bring their two children to London for the anniversary, but Meghan has reportedly expressed concerns about their safety in the UK.
