Prince of Persia: New Updates, DLCs, and Release Windows Announced

In a recent Ubisoft Forward showcase, the company unveiled a slew of updates and announcements for its Prince of Persia franchise. One of the highlights was the reveal of story DLC for the flagship title, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. The DLC, titled ‘Mask of Darkness,’ is set to release in September, but no further details were disclosed in the brief teaser.

Meanwhile, The Lost Crown is receiving a new update, ‘Divine Trials,’ which adds 22 expert challenges and allows players to choose from four different sets. Each set features a reworked boss battle, and completing these challenges grants Sargon new powers. Defeating the boss rewards players with four new amulets and outfits.

The Rogue Prince of Persia, currently in early access with an expected release in 2025, is also receiving a new update, ‘The Temple of Fire.’ This update introduces a new biome and new enemies to the game.

Finally, Ubisoft announced a new release window for the highly anticipated Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake. Initially announced in 2020 with a January 2021 release window, the game has faced several delays. Now, according to the latest teaser, players can expect the remake sometime in 2026.

All these announcements were made as part of the Prince of Persia franchise’s 35th-anniversary celebration.
