Princess Emmy is an animated family film directed by Piet De Rycker that was released in 2019. The film follows the eponymous princess who has the special power of talking to horses. She is put to the test when her jealous cousin comes to visit her, forcing her to prove that she is worthy of her title.
Emmy lives a wonderful life with her best friends, the horses of the stables. She has a special ability to speak to them. However, her jealous cousin Gizana shows up and disturbs her peaceful life. Gizana wants the throne for herself and threatens to expose Emmy’s secret. To keep her gift a secret and prove she’s a true princess, Emmy sets out on an adventure with her loyal horse friends.
On this adventure, she has to be courageous and fight Gizana’s schemes, all while learning the real meaning of being a princess. In this animated film, Ruby Barnhill voices Princess Emmy. We also get to hear Franka Potente as Queen Karla, John Hannah as King Karl, and Bella Ramsey as Princess Gizana.
