Princess Kate Middleton has received a new title from King Charles III, The Royal Companion of The Order of the Companions of Honour, in recognition of her expanded responsibilities within the royal family. This honor coincides with the celebration of her youngest son, Prince Louis’s sixth birthday, with the palace releasing an adorable new portrait to mark the occasion.
King Charles bestowed this honor upon Princess Kate to acknowledge the high esteem in which she is held, making her one among a select group of individuals, including JK Rowling and Sir Elton John, to hold this prestigious title. The investiture ceremony took place as part of the traditional St. George’s Day observances, where other members of the royal family also received honors.
Prince William was appointed the Great Master of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, while the Queen Consort, Camilla, was made a Grand Master and First or Principal Dame Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
Despite the ongoing health challenges faced by the royal family, including Princess Kate’s cancer diagnosis and King Charles’s previous treatment for an enlarged prostate, the investiture ceremony serves as a testament to Princess Kate’s dedication to her royal duties and the esteem in which she is held by the King and the wider community.
