Priyanka Gandhi Dubs PM Modi’s Speeches ‘Hollow Talk’, Accuses BJP of Disrespecting Adivasis

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on May 11 criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election speeches as “hollow talk” and accused him of using politics solely for gaining power rather than serving the people. Speaking at a rally in Nandurbar, Maharashtra, she questioned Modi’s understanding of tribal issues, stating that he had never visited the homes of adivasis to comprehend their problems. She further alleged that the BJP lacked respect for the culture and traditions of adivasis, highlighting the fact that President Droupadi Murmu, who belongs to the community, was not allowed to inaugurate the new Parliament building or participate in the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Gandhi also criticized Modi’s emotional outbursts, comparing him unfavorably to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who, according to her, exhibited bravery, courage, and determination. She concluded her speech by accusing Modi of learning nothing from Gandhi, whom he had labeled as anti-national.
