Radisson Hotel Group is thrilled to announce the rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson, signifying a strategic expansion into new markets. This transition introduces two new Prize by Radisson properties in Germany and marks the brand’s entry into Poland. This rebranding underscores Radisson Hotel Group’s commitment to enhancing its portfolio by establishing a stronger presence for the Prize by Radisson brand in key urban locations.
The shift from prizeotel to Prize by Radisson aligns perfectly with the Group’s core values and its renowned “Yes I Can!” service ethos, offering guests a harmonious blend of high-quality design and affordability. Prize by Radisson maintains the vibrant and eclectic design elements that were a hallmark of prizeotel, while placing a strong emphasis on delivering a high-quality, informal communal experience. The brand promises a midscale lifestyle experience with bright, dynamic spaces designed to cater to modern living, working, and socializing, all at an affordable price point.
Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group, stated: “The rebranding and expansion of Prize by Radisson is a significant milestone in expanding the global reach of the brand and increasing its international appeal to both guests and owners.”
Echoing this sentiment, Connor Ryterski, Managing Director Prize by Radisson, commented: “The rebranding of prizeotel to Prize by Radisson represents a pivotal moment in our growth strategy. With this move, we are excited to expand the Prize by Radisson footprint and continue to deliver exceptional guest experiences to travelers across key central landmarks. Simultaneously, we are demonstrating the support, commercial excellence, and security of belonging to an international hotel chain to our owners.”
The recent signing of two new Prize by Radisson hotels in key European destinations exemplifies the brand’s ambitious expansion strategy, which encompasses leased, managed, and franchised properties tailored to meet diverse market needs.
Prize by Radisson, Gdansk City
Scheduled to debut in 2026, Prize by Radisson, Gdansk City, will boast 126 newly constructed rooms located a mere 300 meters from the city’s iconic boulevard and the picturesque Motlawa River. Gdansk, renowned for its unique blend of historical allure and modern energy, is a thriving economic center that draws in both business and leisure travelers. The hotel will offer a restaurant and bar on its ground floor. For convenience, Gdansk Airport, the third-largest airport in Poland, is just 17 kilometers from the hotel, while the main train station is about 2 kilometers away.
Prize by Radisson, Berlin City
Slated for a 2027 opening, Prize by Radisson, Berlin City, will provide 315 rooms within a new mixed-use complex in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district. Located approximately 10 minutes from Alexanderplatz, the hotel ensures easy access to the city’s attractions, nightlife, and transport hubs, including the airport and major train stations. Reflecting the brand’s commitment to ESG principles under the PrizePromise initiative, the building aims for DGNB Gold certification and will host various functions, with the hotel occupying around 60% of the space. The top floor will feature the hotel lobby, bar, social area with co-working space, and breakfast restaurant, all offering panoramic views of Berlin’s cityscape.
A Legacy of Design and Innovation
Since its debut in Germany in 2009, Prize by Radisson has redefined the midscale design hotel market by seamlessly blending stylish, smart features with cost-effective lodging. The brand expanded its reach in 2022 with new openings in Bonn, Vienna, and Münster. Currently, the Prize by Radisson portfolio comprises 21 properties across Europe, with upcoming additions such as Prize by Radisson, Osnabrück City in 2025. This 170-room hotel will be an integral part of a central Osnabrück mixed-use development featuring residential, hotel, dining, and retail components.
Valerie Schuermans, Vice President, Western & Southern Europe at Radisson Hotel Group, expressed her enthusiasm: “Prize by Radisson is an exciting evolution that aligns perfectly with our vision for growth across key markets in Europe.
