Protect Our Winters (POW) is taking its climate action message on the road with an expanded Stoke Fest Film Tour. The tour, which kicks off in the fall, will feature six stops across Colorado, Montana, and Nevada, bringing powerful stories of climate action to public venues and college campuses.
The tour is part of POW’s Stoke The Vote initiative, which aims to mobilize the outdoor community to engage in the upcoming election. At each stop, attendees can expect to see top-tier content from the POW Grant program, including the debut of new films like *The Hypocrite*, a documentary by professional skier Amie Engerbretson. *The Hypocrite* explores the complexities of climate advocacy and personal carbon footprints, with Engerbretson sharing her own internal conflict and connecting with other athletes to discuss their shared love for the outdoors and commitment to climate issues.
Each location will host a unique lineup of national and regional film projects, accompanied by panel discussions featuring members of the POW Alliance, fostering community dialogue and engagement. Select tour stops will also showcase photo exhibits by Creative Alliance members Ming Poon, Brennan Lagasse, and Sofia Jaramillo, highlighting the beauty and fragility of the natural world.
For those unable to attend in person, POW will host a FREE Virtual Stoke Fest on October 29th, just one week before the election. This virtual event will feature POW Founder and Professional Snowboarder Jeremy Jones, along with other Alliance members, providing a platform for continued climate action dialogue and inspiration.
The Stoke Fest Film Tour is more than just a celebration of outdoor filmmaking; it’s a rallying call to action. POW encourages everyone to engage in the conversation, speak up for their beliefs, and cast their vote for a sustainable future. The tour is a powerful reminder that the fight for climate action is a shared responsibility, and by working together, we can make a real difference.
