Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan expressed grave concern on Tuesday regarding the worsening health of Bushra Bibi, the wife of party founder Imran Khan. He described the situation as alarming and requiring immediate attention.
Barrister Gohar raised particular concern over the late-night arrival of an ambulance to Bushra Bibi’s residence and the secrecy surrounding the matter. He criticized the authorities for failing to inform the family about the ambulance’s arrival and for withholding information about her medical condition.
A three-member medical team from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) visited Bushra Bibi’s home late on Monday night after she complained of acidity and chest pain. The team advised her to undergo a gastroenterology review to assess any underlying medical issues related to her stomach and intestines.
Sources informed Geo News that the medical examination was conducted at Bushra Bibi’s Bani Gala residence, which is considered a sub-jail for the former prime minister’s wife. The team of doctors, including Dr. Bushra Liaquat, Dr. Hira, and Dr. Sidra, spent approximately 75 minutes examining Khan’s spouse and suggested changes to her diet and lifestyle.
Barrister Gohar emphasized that the authorities bear the responsibility for Bushra Bibi’s health and safety. He urged them to provide transparent and prompt updates on her condition and to take all necessary measures to ensure her well-being.
