A Publix shopper in Port Orange, Florida, has become $2 million richer after their ticket matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s Florida Lotto drawing. The winning numbers were 20, 31, 35, 28, 39, and 43. The fortunate ticket was bought at the Publix located at 1660 Taylor Road in Port Orange and was a quick pick ticket, meaning the numbers were randomly selected by the lottery system.
This lucky win marks the first time a Florida Lotto jackpot has been claimed in Port Orange this year. The Florida Lotto drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 11:15 p.m. ET, and tickets cost $2 each. Sales for each drawing close at 10:55 p.m. ET on the night of the draw.
The Florida Lottery encourages all players to check their tickets carefully and to claim their prizes as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes, and prizes can be claimed at any Florida Lottery District Office or at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.
With the recent jackpot win, the Florida Lotto jackpot will now reset to $1 million. Players are encouraged to continue playing for a chance to win the next big jackpot.
