PureGym Plans Further Expansion Amid Rise in Revenues and Membership

PureGym plans to continue expanding its network of gyms with a target of opening 200 new locations in the UK and Switzerland over the next three to four years. Despite a challenging economic environment, the company saw a 15% increase in revenues to £549 million in 2023, driven by new gym openings and an 11% rise in membership. The group’s chief executive, Humphrey Cobbold, highlighted the strong performance of new gyms, indicating a significant demand for fitness facilities in untapped areas. PureGym has implemented pricing increases, but the cost per visit has remained stable as customers have increased their gym usage. The company remains committed to providing accessible and affordable fitness options, catering to the growing demand for health and wellness services.
