QT Queenstown Unveils The Champagne Parlour for a Luxurious Winter Escape

QT Queenstown is reintroducing The Champagne Parlour just in time for the snow season, promising a luxurious experience with sparkling dreams and rosé themes. Designed in collaboration with New Zealand’s renowned creative, Evie Kemp, and in partnership with G.H. Mumm, this pop-up attraction will only be available for two months. Guests can immerse themselves in the chic Champagne chalet rooms at the design-led hotel. Following last year’s sold-out success, QT Queenstown and G.H. Mumm invite enthusiasts of fizz to indulge in Champagne luxury, now with a winter wonderland twist. Adorned with rosy hues and cozy textures, every corner reflects Evie’s playful elegance against the backdrop of New Zealand’s majestic Southern Alps.

Evie Kemp, renowned for sprinkling creative dust on everything she touches, is meshing her bright, bold style with QT’s quirk. Evie was given an open brief to bring her own style to The Champagne Parlour, speaking on her experience, “I’ve long admired the QT brand for its focus on design and the way it’s unapologetically itself. I’ve had a riot of a time collaborating on this next iteration of The Champagne Parlour and I can’t wait for guests to stay and indulge!”. The Champagne Parlour will be temporarily housed in a guestroom from June 24 to August 17, 2024. Guests who book this room, inspired by Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé, will be welcomed by furnishings reflecting the hues of this exquisite champagne.

The Parlour offers a range of amenities, including a bottle of Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé upon arrival, themed welcome and bath treats, a Champagne breakfast in bed for two, and a Mumm Champagne mini bar. Guests can enjoy these luxuries while admiring the stunning lake views and majestic Remarkables through rosé-tinted glass. Additionally, QT Queenstown’s beloved Director of Champagne will make a stylish return, appearing in Reds Bar on level 6 to pour and enjoy fine Champagne with guests.

Jeremy Black, General Manager of QT Queenstown , says, “After the Parlour sold-out last year, we couldn’t wait to bring it back to life, and this time with a Queenstown winter twist. We’re thrilled to partner with G.H. Mumm to once again bring to life this fun and unforgettable experience for guests. Unsurprisingly, Evie has done an outstanding job curating the space to ensure guests get the ultimate experience with this unmissable escape.”

The Champagne Parlour exudes designer flair, offering a feast for the eyes. Evie’s distinctive touch is evident in every detail, from retro wall art against pink striped walls to a plush shag rug and bubble side tables. The sofa is adorned with fluffy sheepskins, complemented by a hand-embroidered cushion proclaiming “I won’t apologize for my Champagne taste,” and a red Champagne bottle neon light. The bathroom is equally stylish, featuring Sage & Claire bathware and plush peach robes. Evie’s creative illustrations can be found throughout, from the entry door decal to bespoke artworks on the bathroom mirror, coasters, and menus in Reds Bar. The room also includes playful QT features like a dramatic doorway and a ‘Call for Champagne’ button on the phone. For leisurely afternoons, a selection of books curated by Wanaka’s Bookety Book Books is available.

Champagne tasting experiences will also be offered at Reds Bar, the ultimate apres-ski destination this winter. G.H. Mumm will take over the bar, offering stunning views of snow-capped mountains. Guests can enjoy a tasting flight featuring 50ml pours of Mumm Marlborough Brut Prestige, Mumm Central Otago Blanc de Noirs, Mumm Cordon Rouge Brut, and Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé for $55 per person. On Fridays and Saturdays, the first bottle of Mumm Brut purchased will be upsized to a magnum, accompanied by $2 oysters. Special pricing on Champagne will be available every day throughout the campaign period. The Champagne Parlour experience is priced at $699 per night and can be booked now for stays from June 24 to August 17, 2024.
