Queen Mary of Denmark turned heads at a state banquet in Oslo, Norway, on Tuesday, donning a reworked lavender gown by Birgit Hallstein. The Danish queen previously wore the piece to the wedding of Prince Carl Philips and Princess Sofia in Stockholm in 2015. Mary’s updated ensemble featured an added organza ‘jacket,’ giving the gown a fresh and modern look.
Queen Mary accessorized her stunning gown with Manolo Blahnik Hangisi 105 grey satin heels, a silver J.Furmani clutch, and the Danish Pearl Poire tiara. Royal fans took to social media to praise Mary’s sustainable fashion choice and her impeccable style.
Earlier in the day, Queen Mary and King Frederik were welcomed in an official ceremony in Oslo. They also met with Norwegian President Masud Gharahkhani at the royal palace and attended a wreath-laying service at Akershus Fortress to commemorate victims of the Second World War.
