On Thursday night, a horrific incident unfolded in Malvani when the balcony of a first-floor apartment collapsed, killing a 12-year-old girl and injuring two others. The deceased, identified as Chandani Roshan Siddiqui, was sitting outside her house with her nephew, Aryan, and neighbors when the balcony gave way. Investigations revealed that the resident of the upper-floor apartment, in a fit of rage after a domestic dispute, intentionally kicked the balcony, causing it to break and fall on those below. Chandani sustained severe injuries, while Aryan and a woman suffered minor ones. Despite being rushed to two different hospitals, Chandani’s injuries proved fatal. Her sister, Bushra, has alleged that the hospital staff initially downplayed the severity of Chandani’s condition and discharged her without proper treatment. Bushra’s allegations have prompted the Malvani police to register a case and summon the accused to the police station.
