Rahul Dravid’s Son, Samit, Joins Mysuru Warriors in Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20

Samit Dravid, son of former India head coach and captain Rahul Dravid, has joined the Mysuru Warriors for the upcoming season of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20. The young batsman and seamer was acquired by the Warriors during the player auction for a price of Rs 50,000.

The Warriors, who were runners-up in the previous season, are thrilled to have Samit on their team. “It’s good to have him in our side as he has shown a lot of promise in various age-group tournaments for KSCA,” a Warriors team official told PTI. Samit’s experience playing for the Karnataka under-19 side that won this season’s Cooch Behar Trophy, as well as his appearance for KSCA XI against Lancashire earlier this year, demonstrates his potential.

The Warriors’ squad boasts a strong leadership core with Karun Nair at the helm. The team’s bowling attack has been significantly strengthened by the acquisition of India pacer Prasidh Krishna for Rs 1 lakh. Krishna, who recently underwent surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon, is looking to make a triumphant return to top-flight cricket. Nair, a key player for the franchise, was retained by the team.

With the addition of Samit Dravid, the Mysuru Warriors are poised for a strong showing in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20. The young batsman and seamer’s talent, coupled with the experience of players like Nair and Krishna, make them a formidable force in the tournament.
