Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade has underscored the critical role of education in shaping a nation’s future, urging educators to prioritize the holistic growth of their students. Speaking at the All India National Educational Conference in Ajmer, Governor Bagade emphasized that education should go beyond merely enhancing intellectual skills. He advocated for the inclusion of co-curricular activities as a vital component of the learning process, arguing that these activities provide students with practical knowledge and experiences that extend beyond the confines of textbooks.
Governor Bagade highlighted the importance of these co-curricular activities, stating, “These activities will help students gain practical knowledge beyond mere book learning, which is essential for passing their classes.” He further acknowledged the profound impact of early childhood education, emphasizing that children acquire valuable skills from their mothers and families at a young age.
Underscoring the transformative power of education, the Governor asserted, “Teachers should focus on the all-round development of their students, which will pave the way for their continuous growth.” He went on to emphasize the need to imbue the Indian education system with cultural values, moral principles, and the teachings of revered figures like Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati. He believes that incorporating these elements will contribute to the comprehensive development of students, fostering well-rounded individuals who are equipped to thrive in society.
