Rajinikanth Stable After Heart Procedure, Expected Home in Two Days

Indian superstar Rajinikanth, known for his iconic roles in Tamil cinema, is on the path to recovery after a successful medical procedure. The 73-year-old actor was admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai on September 30 due to severe stomach pain. Doctors discovered a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart, known as the aorta.

To address this issue, Rajinikanth underwent a non-surgical procedure called an endovascular repair. This minimally invasive technique involved placing a stent in the aorta, completely sealing off the swelling. The procedure was performed by Senior Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish.

In a statement released by Apollo Hospitals, they reassured fans and well-wishers that the procedure went according to plan and Rajinikanth is in stable condition. He is expected to be discharged from the hospital and return home in two days.

News of Rajinikanth’s hospitalization sparked concern among his fans worldwide. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi expressed their support for the actor’s speedy recovery. Social media platforms were also flooded with messages of well wishes from fans and colleagues.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Vettaiyan,’ which also stars legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. The shooting for the film, directed by TJ Gnanavel, has been completed and is scheduled for a worldwide release in October this year. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of this highly anticipated film.
