The Ram 1500 RHO emerges as the new flagship model, succeeding the V8-powered Ram 1500 TRX. This latest addition to the Ram lineup is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six Hurricane engine, generating an impressive 402kW of power and 706Nm of torque. Despite the shift away from the V8 engine in the TRX, the RHO’s inline-six delivers more power than its competitors. The Ram 1500 RHO comes standard with an array of features tailored for off-road adventures, including 35-inch off-road tires, 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, and a robust suspension system with Bilstein shock absorbers. It also offers a generous 30cm of ground clearance, enabling it to navigate challenging terrain effortlessly. The RHO provides a comprehensive range of nine drive modes, encompassing Mud/Sand, Rock, Baja, Valet, Auto, Tow, Snow, Sport, and Custom, along with a launch control mode to optimize performance in various conditions. Inside the Ram 1500 RHO, you’ll find a spacious and well-equipped cabin. The 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, accompanied by a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and an optional 10.25-inch passenger touchscreen, ensures seamless connectivity and entertainment. Other notable interior features include a center console-mounted gear selector, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, leather-trimmed upholstery, a premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a dual wireless phone charger, and a digital rear-view mirror. The Ram 1500 RHO is priced from $69,995 (~A$107,500) before on-road costs in the US. While there is no confirmation yet on its availability in Australia, Ram Trucks Australia models undergo a conversion process from left- to right-hand drive by Walkinshaw in Melbourne, before being imported by Ateco. This process is also employed for the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 2500 HD, as well as the Toyota Tundra.
