The much-awaited adaptation of Ramayan has commenced filming under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari, featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the titular role. To safeguard against unauthorized leaks, the production team has implemented stringent security measures on set.
The narrative of Ramayan features numerous action-packed sequences that are crucial to the story’s progression, including Lord Ram’s triumph over Lord Shiva’s bow and the climactic battle between Lord Ram and Raavan. To create authentic weapons and battle gear, the production team has enlisted the expertise of Gagan Agarwal, a renowned prop designer known for his work on Tanhaji – The Unsung Hero, Padmaavat, and Samrat Prithviraj. Agarwal’s contributions to films like Gladiator 2, in which he designed props for battle scenes featuring Denzil Washington and Pedro Pascal, further attest to his exceptional craftsmanship.
Joining the Ramayan team, Agarwal will be responsible for designing maces, bows, arrows, swords, spears, and battle attire for the army, as well as conceptualizing the battle look of Raavan and his generals. The film’s producers, recognizing the significance of authentic props and weaponry, have entrusted Agarwal with the task of bringing the epic saga to life with meticulous attention to detail.
