Royal Challengers Bangalore allrounder Will Jacks remarked on the difficulties bowlers encounter on good wickets and compact fields. He noted, “Teams are going hard at all the bowlers with the Impact Rule. We’ve struggled with the new ball, not being able to take wickets in the powerplay, and later we found it hard to defend the totals.” Jacks emphasized the team’s focus on taking wickets with the new ball to control the opposition’s scoring.
Regarding the upcoming match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jacks acknowledged their batting prowess. He stated, “SRH is high on confidence. They’ve scored three scores over 260. All the batters seem to be in form and now they’re playing at home.” Despite the challenge, Jacks expressed optimism, saying, “If we restrict them to par or below par score, we can win.” He praised the batting-friendly wicket and described the stadium as “very nice.”
Jacks provided insights into the team’s plans for the match. He said, “Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma will go hard at bowlers from ball one. Whatever plans they have, we leave them to the bowlers. Both of them are pretty much batting the whole PowerPlay. So hopefully, if we get them and can bring No. 3 early, we can restrict them for a low total.”
Jacks expressed his admiration for his teammates, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. He stated, “It’s been amazing so far to play with RCB, it’s a great franchise. It has a fanbase all over India. Playing with RCB legends like Kohli and Faf, it’s been amazing.” He commented on their commitment and intensity, saying, “That’s what has made Virat so good over the years. And Faf is so experienced as well. To train with them is great and I want to learn whatever I can in these two months.
