The incident transpired at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Highway 16 near Range Road 35. According to RCMP, the pedestrian was crossing the highway when a grey van traveling eastbound struck them. Tragically, the driver of the van failed to stop and continued driving eastward without attending to the injured individual. The victim sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to a hospital via STARS air ambulance. Through their investigation, RCMP have identified the suspect vehicle as a 2012-2014 grey Chevrolet Orlando exhibiting damage to the front driver’s side.
