Realme Unveils World’s Fastest Smartphone Charging Technology: 320W SuperSonic Charge

Realme, a Chinese consumer electronics company, has made a remarkable leap in smartphone charging technology with the introduction of its 320W SuperSonic Charge. This groundbreaking technology promises to fully charge a smartphone in less than 5 minutes, shattering previous records and setting a new standard for mobile charging speeds.

The 320W SuperSonic Charge technology was unveiled at the Realme 828 Fanfest event in Shenzhen, China on August 14th. Realme representatives demonstrated the technology’s impressive capabilities, showcasing a smartphone’s battery reaching 26% charge in a mere minute and 50% in under two minutes. According to GSMArena, a full charge can be achieved in just 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

The secret behind this incredible charging speed lies in the innovative battery design and the advanced power adapter. Unlike traditional charging methods, which transfer power to a single battery cell or multiple cells sequentially, the 320W SuperSonic Charge technology utilizes a folded battery design with four cells stacked on top of each other. This design, with a 4,420 milliampere-hour capacity, provides 10% higher capacity compared to conventional designs.

Realme’s engineers miniaturized each battery cell into layered structures to maximize charging capacity within a smaller space. These cells are then folded to resemble satellite panels, creating a compact and efficient battery unit. To complement this advanced battery design, Realme developed a power adapter called the ‘Pocket Cannon’. This adapter boasts a power density of 3.3 watts per cubic centimeter, enabling it to deliver the high power needed for rapid charging. Furthermore, the adapter is compatible with various fast-charging standards, including UFCS, PD, and SuperVOOC, allowing users to charge multiple devices simultaneously.

To safeguard the smartphone battery from potential damage during high-voltage charging, Realme introduced the ‘AirGap’ voltage transformer. This innovative transformer utilizes ‘contact-free electromagnetic conversion’ to isolate high voltages from the battery during electrical faults like circuit breakdowns. By reducing the voltage to 20 volts, the AirGap transformer ensures battery protection and maintains a 93% power efficiency during charging.

This revolutionary 320W SuperSonic Charge technology represents a significant leap forward in mobile charging capabilities. It empowers users to quickly charge their smartphones without sacrificing battery life or device safety, offering a truly transformative experience for mobile users worldwide.
