After 51 years of dedicated service to his family-owned business, Redd Pest Solutions, Gordon L. Redd Jr. announced his retirement on August 31, 2024. Redd, who joined the company in 1973, has witnessed the growth of a legacy that started over 73 years ago with his ancestors, J. C. Redd and Gordon Redd Sr. Throughout his career, Redd’s primary focus was to strengthen the Redd Man heritage, a testament to the family’s commitment to the community.
Redd’s retirement marks a significant milestone for the company. He has been instrumental in its success, bringing his professional drive and expertise to the helm of Redd Pest Solutions. He holds licenses in three states, reflecting his commitment to providing top-notch service.
Beyond his leadership within the company, Redd has been actively involved in the South Mississippi community. He has served on numerous boards, including the Kiwanis Club, Hancock Whitney Bank, and the Mississippi Coast Crime Commission. His dedication to the community was recognized through awards like the Mississippi Coast Chamber Tapestry Award and the Small Business Executive Award.
Redd’s retirement marks a transition to a new chapter of his life. He is looking forward to spending time with his wife of 52 years, Donna Redd, and their beloved Goldendoodle, Teddy. They are embarking on new adventures, exploring America in their Tiffin Motorhome.
Redd expressed his immense pride in the next generation of leaders at Redd Pest Solutions. He believes that the company is in capable hands under the leadership of his daughter, Bevin Brewer, Senior Vice President of Marketing, and son-in-law, Eddie Brewer, Vice President. They represent the third generation of their family to work at and lead Redd Pest Solutions. Their children, Isabella and Tripp Brewer, are also poised to play a role in the future of the company. Tripp currently serves as Director of Quality Assurance, ensuring the company continues to uphold its commitment to excellence.
With the fourth generation of the family actively involved, Redd is confident that the Redd Man heritage will continue to flourish. He believes that the values of hard work, community service, and dedication that have defined Redd Pest Solutions for generations will be passed on to future leaders, ensuring its enduring success.
