De La Cruz launched a two-run homer in the fifth inning, while Encarnacion-Strand contributed three hits and drove in two runs.
The Reds’ offense took advantage of poor fielding by the Phillies, who committed three errors that led to five unearned runs.
Relief pitcher Fernando Cruz earned his first win of the season after escaping a bases-loaded jam in the fifth inning.
Despite the loss, Alec Bohm provided some offensive spark for the Phillies with two doubles and an RBI.
The victory snapped a three-game losing streak for the Reds and improved their record to 15-18. The Phillies, meanwhile, saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end and fell to 19-15.
