John Nagel, a pillar of Hudson County cross country and track and field, passed away at 65. His coaching legacy spans six decades, leaving an indelible mark on St. Dominic Academy, where he guided his teams to an astounding 250 championships and mentored hundreds of loyal runners. Nagel’s passion for the sport was infectious, driving his athletes to excellence. Despite his own athleticism, he always credited his success to the talent and dedication of his team.
