Rep. Pressley Claims Trump DOJ Would Go on ‘Murdering Spree’ With Death Penalty

Democratic Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts claimed Wednesday that if former President Donald Trump is re-elected, his Department of Justice would embark on a “murdering spree” through the misuse of capital punishment.

Pressley made these assertions during a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing on the Office of Personnel Management. She criticized Project 2025, a policy roadmap developed by the Heritage Foundation for a future Republican president. According to Pressley, this plan would pave the way for “wholesale policy violence” by gutting agencies and appointing partisan loyalists through Schedule F appointments.

“The federal government employs the country’s largest and most diverse workforce, and Schedule F—an Executive Order that would swap out tens of thousands of civil servants with partisan sycophants—would dismantle our government’s infrastructure,” Pressley stated.

She emphasized, “We must recognize that the far-right extremists who advocate for Schedule F view it as a means to an end. It’s their path to enacting widespread, wholesale policy violence.”

Pressley further alleged that under another Trump administration, the Department of Justice would perpetrate a “murdering spree” through the abuse of capital punishment.

“The Department of Justice would embark on a murdering spree,” Pressley told the committee. “It would rush to utilize the death penalty and increase its application to more individuals while disregarding due process protections.”

Fox News Digital contacted the Trump campaign and the Heritage Foundation for comment on the representative’s remarks.
