A major rescue operation on Tywyn beach in Gwynedd, Wales, saved a young girl trapped under massive rocks as the tide approached. The rescue team, led by Mid and North Wales Coastguard, arrived at 3.19pm and was joined by contractors with lifting machinery, including a digger, as a last resort. The delicate operation, which lasted three hours, required coordination among the Aberdovy Coastguard Rescue Team, Barmouth Coastguard Rescue, Tywyn Fire Station, North Wales Police, Welsh Ambulance Service, Gwynedd Maritime Service, and Wales Air Ambulance. The team managed to extract the girl safely, much to the relief of her parents, despite the risk of causing further problems by moving the heavy rocks. The incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of rock climbing and the need for caution when engaging in such activities.
