Elden Ring’s challenging world throws numerous enemies and bosses your way, demanding all your skills and resources. Thankfully, you can summon spirit allies using Spirit Ashes to bolster your strength. While regular Spirit Ashes can be upgraded to level 10, the expansion introduces Revered Spirit Ash, pushing their power further.
Revered Spirit Ash can be found throughout the Land of Shadow. Upon finding them, you can enhance your Shadow Realm Blessing at any Site of Grace. This enhances your Spirit Ashes, granting them increased damage output and defense in combat. The number of Revered Spirit Ash required for each Shadow Realm Blessing upgrade varies.
Importantly, using Revered Spirit Ash is completely optional. Choosing to ignore them presents a greater challenge, while using them reduces the difficulty of the DLC. However, remember that using Revered Spirit Ash to enhance your Shadow Realm Blessing is irreversible. The buff remains active only within the Land of Shadow, disappearing upon returning to the Lands Between.
Before using Revered Spirit Ash, consider if you want to increase the difficulty of your journey. If you crave a more challenging experience, forgo the Revered Spirit Ash and rely on your own skills and regular Spirit Ashes. But, if you prefer a less demanding approach, embrace the power of Revered Spirit Ash to bolster your summoned allies.
