RFK Jr. Claims to Be on the Ballot in All 50 States, Could Impact Tight 2024 Race

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claims to have gathered enough signatures to appear on the ballot in all 50 states, a development that could potentially shake up the 2024 presidential race. Kennedy, who has been vocal about his views on issues like vaccine safety and environmental concerns, spoke with Fox News’s Neil Cavuto on Friday, discussing his campaign’s progress and his potential impact on the main party candidates.

When asked about his ballot eligibility nationwide, Kennedy stated, “Right now we have enough signatures to be on all 50 states.” He added that while some states have not yet certified the signatures, they are confident of being on the ballot in every state.

While Kennedy is currently officially registered on the ballot in approximately eight states, he attributed the delay in other states to the certification process, stating that many states do not finalize ballot access until mid-August.

Kennedy’s campaign has attracted a small but dedicated following, polling at around 5% among voters in key swing states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada. This level of support, although far from guaranteeing victory, could prove significant in a race that is currently very close. A recent Ipsos survey found Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are neck and neck in these swing states, with Harris receiving 42% of the vote share and Trump receiving 40%.

With a tight race between the two major party candidates, even a small amount of support for a third-party candidate like Kennedy could have a notable impact on the outcome. This could potentially lead to a scenario where neither major party candidate wins a majority of the electoral votes, forcing the election to be decided in the House of Representatives.

Kennedy’s campaign, while facing an uphill battle, has garnered attention for its focus on issues that resonate with a segment of the electorate. Whether his presence on the ballot in all 50 states will ultimately have a significant impact on the outcome of the election remains to be seen, but his campaign adds an element of unpredictability to a race that is already tightly contested.
