The Retail & Hospitality Information Sharing and Analysis Center (RH-ISAC), a collaborative cybersecurity community serving the retail, hospitality, and food industries, has announced the results of its 2024 Board of Directors elections. This year’s board boasts a mix of new and returning members, all hailing from industry giants and bringing a wealth of experience to the table.
Leading the charge of new board members is Eli Edelkind, CISO at CAVA. Edelkind boasts over 20 years of cybersecurity expertise, honed through leadership roles at prominent companies like Lowe’s and the U.S. Marine Corps. He joins returning members Benjamin Vaughn, CISO at Hyatt Hotels, and Marnie Wilking, CSO at Booking.com, who were re-elected to continue their vital contributions.
Vaughn, with a unique blend of cyber and physical security experience gained from United Airlines, brings his expertise as Senior Vice President and CISO at Hyatt Hotels to the board, where he also advises multiple cybersecurity firms. Meanwhile, Wilking, responsible for overseeing the security of Booking.com’s global operations, leverages her previous leadership roles in cybersecurity programs at Wayfair and Orion Health.
“We’re thrilled to have these exceptional individuals on our board,” said RH-ISAC President Suzie Squier. “Their diverse expertise will be invaluable as we strengthen our cybersecurity strategies in an ever-evolving threat landscape.” Each board member will serve a three-year term, playing a critical role in guiding RH-ISAC’s mission to foster security collaboration within the retail and hospitality sectors.
By connecting information security teams across these critical industries, RH-ISAC empowers its members to share intelligence and best practices, ultimately safeguarding against evolving cyber threats. This collaborative approach ensures resilience within these vital sectors, protecting businesses and consumers alike from the ever-growing dangers of cyberattacks. The addition of these experienced and dedicated individuals to the board promises to further strengthen RH-ISAC’s commitment to safeguarding the retail and hospitality industries in the face of increasingly complex cybersecurity threats.
