Richard Madeley has criticized Madonna following an hours-long wait for an interview with the pop star. The ITV presenter described the experience as “not worth” the six-hour delay, claiming that Madonna was “weird”. Recalling the interview conducted years ago with his wife Judy Finnigan, Madeley expressed his anger at Madonna’s tardiness: “It didn’t start until about one in the morning.” Madonna’s punctuality issues have also been raised in the context of recent legal actions taken against her. Three fans filed a lawsuit for her two-hour delay at a concert in Washington DC, claiming deception and deprivation of a complete performance. Madonna’s management has defended the delays, attributing them to technical difficulties during soundcheck. Madeley’s criticism is not the first instance of ITV personalities expressing dissatisfaction with Madonna’s behavior. Last February, Lorraine Kelly commented on Madonna’s Grammys appearance, stating, “I must admit, when I saw the photo I thought, ‘That looks like somebody that has maybe had some surgery to look like Madonna and it’s not gone well.'” Kelly’s remarks followed her earlier comparison of Madonna to a “boiled egg.” Notably, ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly has also voiced her disapproval of Madonna’s behavior, describing her “Grammys” appearance as peculiar and comparing her to a “boiled egg.” These incidents highlight the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Madonna’s punctuality and public persona.
