Ridge High School’s baseball team continued their winning streak, extending it to six games with a decisive 6-0 victory over Randolph High School. Kieran Callanan and Zach Kucerka played a pivotal role in Ridge’s offensive success, each contributing two hits in three at-bats.
On the mound, Charlie Paul started the game for Ridge, striking out four batters and allowing four hits over 3.1 innings. Matt Faltas relieved Paul, pitching 3.2 innings, striking out two, and allowing just one hit.
Quinn Dashefsky and Andrew Reynolds provided additional offensive support for Ridge, with a double each. Rocco Albano took the mound for Randolph, striking out five batters in five innings while allowing seven hits. Despite Albano’s efforts, Randolph’s offense struggled to find consistency, managing only five hits against Ridge’s formidable pitching staff.
With this victory, Ridge improves their record to 7-4, maintaining their stronghold in the Somerset County baseball scene. Randolph, on the other hand, sees their record drop to 11-3, but they remain a force to be reckoned with in the highly competitive NJSIAA baseball landscape.
