Rixo, the UK-based fashion brand known for its eclectic prints and vibrant silhouettes, is venturing into the world of home decor with the launch of Casa Rixo. Co-founders Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey, whose passion for vintage finds and maximalist aesthetics ignited the brand’s success, have naturally extended their design vision to interiors.
Inspired by the charm of antique fairs in places like Parma, Italy, and London’s Portobello Road, Casa Rixo embodies the brand’s signature style, infusing spaces with an artistic and playful energy. The debut collection, launching on November 11th, features three essential pieces: motif-adorned cushions, linen tablecloths, and napkins, each imbued with the brand’s distinct aesthetic.
Casa Rixo’s designs draw inspiration from the bold use of color and artistic expression that defines Rixo’s fashion collections. Notably, the pieces are infused with Matisse-inspired patterns, presented in two captivating palettes: a toned-down terracotta and cream, and a vibrant array of primary hues. The result is a collection that breathes vibrancy into any space, adding a touch of artfulness to tables and interiors.
The collection’s design process also incorporates a travel-inspired lens, reflecting the charm of discovering unique vintage finds in bustling markets abroad. The Casa Rixo pieces are designed for seamless integration into various home settings. Rix explains, “The cushions are perfect for layering on a sofa or bed and mixing in with vintage finds. The napkins and tablecloths are designed to work together harmoniously or can be mixed and matched allowing customers to personalize.” The collection is available on Rixo’s website and exclusively at Liberty in London, priced from $96 to $193.
While the initial launch focuses on these three core pieces, Rixo promises a broader expansion of Casa Rixo in the future. “We’ve already started thinking about future collections,” shares McCloskey. “We can’t reveal too much, but watch this space—textiles are definitely our forte.” With its bold patterns, vibrant hues, and carefully curated details, Casa Rixo is poised to bring the same captivating energy that defines Rixo’s fashion collections to the world of home decor, allowing individuals to infuse their spaces with a touch of artistic flair and global inspiration.
