Robinsons Hotels and Resorts Celebrates World Tourism Day with Exclusive Discounts for Industry Professionals

In celebration of World Tourism Day on September 27, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts (RHR) is recognizing the vital role of tourism professionals by offering exclusive discounts. Partnering with the Department of Tourism (DOT), RHR is extending special promotions from September 3 to October 7, 2024, as a gesture of gratitude to the individuals who drive the tourism sector forward.

World Tourism Day serves as a global reminder of the industry’s significance to the economy, culture, and environment. This year’s theme emphasizes responsible travel, supporting local communities, and promoting sustainable tourism practices. The day unites tourism organizations, governments, and travelers in envisioning a sustainable future for the industry.

“World Tourism Day is a time to recognize the people who make the tourism industry flourish,” said Barun Jolly, Senior Vice President and Business Unit Head of Robinsons Hotels and Resorts. “Through our partnership with DOT, we want to highlight the beauty and vibrancy of the Philippines while giving back to tourism workers with exclusive promotions.”

To show their appreciation, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts is offering a generous 20% discount off the Best Available Rate for non-DOT-accredited tourism enterprises and a 25% discount for DOT-accredited enterprises across their 30 properties nationwide. This includes popular brands like Go Hotels, Go Hotels Plus, Summit Hotels, and Grand Summit Hotels. For those seeking a more luxurious experience, the same discounts apply at Westin Manila, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, Holiday Inn Manila Galleria, Fili Nustar Cebu, and Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu with a minimum two-night stay.

These enticing offers are available through walk-ins, emails, and direct calls to the properties. Tourism workers must present a valid work ID, and for an additional 5% discount, proof of their or their employer’s DOT accreditation is required. Bookings are open until October 7, with stays valid through October 8, 2024.

In conjunction with these promotions, DOT-NCR has launched the “Into the Heart of the City” campaign. This captivating audiovisual presentation showcases Metro Manila’s diverse culture, historical landmarks, and the vibrant local life. The campaign aims to inspire both domestic and international travelers while offering tourism workers a chance to deepen their knowledge of the city, enhancing their ability to provide exceptional guest experiences.

The World Travel & Tourism Council recognizes the tourism industry as a critical driver of global economic growth, responsible for one in ten jobs worldwide. In the Philippines, tourism remains a cornerstone of the economy, providing millions of jobs and celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. By offering these exclusive discounts and promoting responsible tourism, Robinsons Hotels and Resorts is not only celebrating World Tourism Day but also investing in the future of the industry and the people who make it thrive.
