Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy dominated Day 2 of the Hockey India Sub Junior Academy Championship Zone A & B, claiming victories in both the men’s and women’s categories. In the women’s division, Roundglass Punjab showcased their prowess by completely outplaying Jai Bharat Hockey Academy with a resounding 22-0 victory. This triumph was spearheaded by Ramandeep Kaur’s exceptional performance, as she found the back of the net an impressive seven times.
Earlier in the women’s category, Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) emerged victorious against Ritu Rani Hockey Academy with a 4-1 scoreline, thanks to Devi Archana’s hat-trick. Har Hockey Academy also impressed, securing a 7-0 win over Anantapur Sports Academy, with Antika and Tannu each scoring twice. Adding to the day’s highlights, RK Roy Hockey Academy dominated Citizen Hockey XI with an 11-0 win, with captain Aind Anjani and Bano Tabassum contributing three goals each.
The men’s category saw Roundglass Punjab display their strength with a convincing 7-0 win against Cheema Hockey Academy. The victory was a collaborative effort, with seven different players scoring goals. In another impressive display, Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy overwhelmed Jai Bharat Hockey Academy with a 28-0 victory, with Kataria Hitesh and Jay each netting five goals. Namdhari XI also secured a 4-0 win against Raja Karan Hockey Academy, with Sanjay scoring a hat-trick. Ashwini Sports Academy edged past Republican Sports Club 5-2, thanks to Pal Ashutosh’s hat-trick. Finally, Army Boys Sports Company dominated Ashwini Sports Academy with a 7-0 win, with Arjun scoring a hat-trick.
