RoyaLand Reports Preliminary FY2024 Results, Showcasing Growth in Mobile-First MMORPG Development

RoyaLand, a Bermuda holding company focused on building a captivating online and offline, fantasy-based royalty-themed experience called myRoyal.World, has announced preliminary unaudited financial results for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. While the company expects to record an adjusted net loss of approximately $1.1 million for the year, this figure reflects substantial investments in the development of its flagship mobile-first massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), TheRoyal.Land.

The fiscal year was primarily dedicated to development activities, with the majority of expenses stemming from product research and development, totaling around $0.4 million. Significant investments were also allocated to legal and accounting fees (approximately $0.4 million) and consulting fees (approximately $0.2 million, including $175,000 in stock-based compensation).

RoyaLand envisions a unique, interactive, and immersive gaming experience based on a player-empowered design philosophy. The company is actively building proprietary digital avatars and providing opportunities for players to earn in-game currency, build virtual land, and own digital assets. They aim to further enhance these features with premium in-game content, ultimately creating a richly layered and rewarding world for players.

Central to this vision is the collaboration with Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, the Monaco-based grandson of the last King of Italy, who holds the titles of His Royal Highness, Prince of Venice, and Prince of Piedmont, and is also referred to as the hereditary “Prince of Italy.” TheRoyal.Land draws inspiration from historical monarchies, and its development is supported by seven other royal families, collectively referred to as the Royal Families, representing countries such as Russia, Albania, France, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Lesotho, and Mecklenburg. The Royal Families bring a unique perspective and authenticity to the project, further solidifying its position as a first-of-its-kind, historically inspired monarchy-based MMORPG.

RoyaLand’s objective is to become a global leader in interactive entertainment, connecting players worldwide through a captivating, royalty-themed experience. The company plans to deliver engaging entertainment experiences on a year-round basis, offering players a variety of roles, from skilled artisans to valiant knights, each with unique purpose, abilities, and opportunities for advancement. The game promises immersive adventures that draw players into a captivating world of historical grandeur and modern innovation.

Capitalizing on the burgeoning video games market, expected to reach $282.3 billion in global revenue in 2024 (Statista, Video Games – Worldwide , November 2023), RoyaLand is poised to expand its brand and products worldwide. The company is currently in the development phase for TheRoyal.Land and myRoyal.World, with Neosperience S.p.A. (Neosperience) serving as the development partner. Neosperience is leveraging its proprietary technology to create complex and dynamic in-game environments, realistic and emotive characters, and a dynamically adjusting difficulty level to ensure a challenging yet rewarding gameplay experience.

Neosperience’s technology further enhances player immersion by imbuing non-player characters (NPCs) with realistic behaviors and a full range of human-like emotions, reactions, and movements. These innovative features create a dynamic and engaging gameplay experience rarely seen in video games.

RoyaLand’s ambitious vision, combined with its strategic partnerships and dedication to high-quality development, positions it as a key player in the rapidly growing gaming landscape. The company’s commitment to creating an immersive, engaging, and historically inspired world for players promises to solidify its place as a leading innovator in the world of mobile MMORPGs.
