Ruben Amorim Returns to Portugal After Talks With West Ham

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Sporting CP, has returned to Portugal after meeting with West Ham United officials in London.

Amorim has been linked with both West Ham and Liverpool, but his future remains up in the air. West Ham are considering replacing David Moyes, whose contract expires at the end of the season. Liverpool were thought to be interested in Amorim as a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp, but The Athletic claims that a move for Amorim is unlikely.

Amorim flew to London on Monday to meet with West Ham officials. He reportedly spent six hours in England before returning to Portugal the same day.

Upon his arrival in Lisbon, Amorim was met by reporters who asked him about the meeting with West Ham and the links with Liverpool. However, he declined to comment, saying only that he would see reporters on Saturday before Sporting’s match against Porto.

A decision on West Ham’s next manager is unlikely to be made until the end of the season. Ex-Wolves boss Julen Lopetugui has also been linked with the post.
