Russia Attacks Ukraine’s Energy Infrastructure, Unleashing Missile Barrage

In a brazen act of aggression, Russia has unleashed a missile barrage on Ukraine’s critical energy infrastructure, particularly targeting the western Lviv region. The attacks crippled a power generation facility in Chervonohrad district, resulting in a fire that emergency services are battling to extinguish. Initial reports indicate no casualties in the immediate aftermath of the assault.

Concurrently, Russia’s aerial bombardment wreaked havoc on three thermal power plants operated by DTEK, Ukraine’s largest private electricity company. The company reported severe damage to the equipment, with power engineers working tirelessly to mitigate the consequences of the attack.

This onslaught occurred on the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, a significant date in Ukraine’s history. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy condemned the attacks, emphasizing the need for the world to recognize the profound threat posed by Nazism and its resurgence in modern times.
