Sunak hailed the passage of the legislation as a significant milestone. He emphasized that the bill aims to discourage perilous crossings by vulnerable migrants and dismantle the criminal gangs’ exploitative model. Sunak stated that the passing of this legislation will allow the government to clarify that individuals entering illegally cannot remain in the country. The focus now shifts to initiating flights to Rwanda, with Sunak vowing “no ifs, no buts” in ensuring their commencement.
